We’re super excited and looking forward to the opening of a new exhibit on Saturday, January 6th at 7 PM at Art Gallery 21! It is with great pleasure that we present the art of Robert Gross and Celia Diaz with Dirk Eberle, Errol Gross, Natalee Jones and Louise Meredith.
Robert Gross is a gifted art teacher, and, he is also well known for his series of paintings, The Disappearing Pastures of Broward County, in the early 21st century. Many of those pastures are gone and now serve as the sites of shopping plazas and multi-family homes. In the last few years, Bob has taken to creating paintings of the watery landscapes of the Everglades. He claims that the light moves across the water, changing the view from one minute to the next, and in each moment there exists a bit of beauty. His watercolor paintings capture the sky reflected in the water and create a peaceful work of art that is soothing to the spirit. Of course, you have to see them for yourself to fully understand and appreciate the talent of this sweet man, and, you’ll have the opportunity to do that throughout January.
It is an extraordinarily beautiful exhibit. The caliber of work ranks among the finest art available locally and surprises in this exhibit bring a wonderful world of color as it spills from the brushes of all the artists. Recently, an artist commented … “the light is different here in south Florida.” Maybe that’s what draws creative spirits to live and work here! And, how lucky we are that they are willing to share their work with Art Gallery 21!
Please join us on January 6th for the unveiling of this new art exhibit! We’d love to see you again or meet you for the first time!
