On Good Friday evening, Art Gallery 21 was blessed to have a lovely young woman serve as our gallery hostess, and, we are sincerely astonished and immensely grateful for the fabulous job she did!
Pamela Maldonado Velasco has three works hanging in the current show, and when she volunteered to greet visitors to the gallery on Good Friday, we had no idea how her presence would draw people … much like a moth to a light! She was a busy gal and she entertained a surprising number of guests! How lucky we are she was there!
Born in Colombia, Pamela moved to the U.S. when she was two-years-old. Lucky for us, right?! She has been studying with our curator and art guru, Robert Gross, and, upon further investigation, we’ve discovered she is a creative talent in other mediums, too! Her oil paintings are charming, but, her digital photography shows she is inspired by the outdoors … the sun, the water and wildlife are prevalent in her photographs.
Pamela is well traveled and it’s reflected in her maturity for one so young. A graduate of the University of Florida, she hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Some combination, that!
We are thrilled she chose Art Gallery 21 to show her oil paintings and we’ve got our fingers crossed that she will be around for a while! Please check out Pamela’s web site here and you’ll see why we’re so excited to know her!
Thank YOU, Pamela!
