The Faces of Wilton Manors

THE FACES OF WILTON MANORS
Photographs by Larry Singer

In 2015, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame added over 200 images by Larry Singer to its archives and permanent library. In 2016, it used Singer’s image of Eddie Van Halen on stage at the top of its website pages, on roadside billboards and the cover of its Visitor Planning Guide. In 2020, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame again used Singer’s iconic image of Eddie Van Halen to honor the legendary guitar virtuoso after his tragic and untimely passing. Other iconic photos feature rock & roll legends Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty among others.

Larry recently published a book of photographs shot in and around Bonnet House. His Bonnet House book is on the shelves of every public school library in Broward County.

Art Gallery 21 is pleased to present THE FACES OF WILTON MANORS, a collection of 21 photographs of the diverse assortment of characters that populate the island city. You may know one or two, or none at all. Come see.

The gallery will be open to the public practicing pandemic protocols and serving refreshments for the Island City Art Walk on Saturday, January 16 from 6 to 8 PM. Art shows like this one don’t come along often. Come check it out!

If you’re interested in his other work, he’s currently exhibiting at a Chicago gallery here.
