drawing without an eraser: the art of John Bowen
John is a prolific watercolor artist with a distinctive style that pulls viewers into the story and leaves them longing for more. His expressionism is at once realistic, yet romantic.
John is also an award-winning writer. His book, “Eleven Months and Nineteen Days
A Vietnam Illustrator’s Memoir,” chronicles Bowen’s time stationed at Tan Son Nhut Air Base outside of Saigon in 1968 with the 834th Air Division Headquarters Unit.
