Presenting Five Florida Artists

Art Gallery 21 is pleased to present the extraordinary work of five local artists: Rosemary Lisa Boyd, Monika Hurter, Barbara Pardon, Angie Riserbato and Aviva Sasson are local painters, each with a distinctively different style. The range of mediums includes oil, watercolor, acrylic and mixed media and we feel confident in saying everyone will see something they like!

We hope you will join us at 7 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2017 to meet the artists and experience the charm of Art Gallery 21, located in the former Woman’s Club of Wilton Manors. The exhibit will be open to the public until December 2, 2017.

If you aren’t able to join us for the opening, don’t worry. The gallery will be open on Saturday, November 18 for the ART EXPO (art walk) on Wilton Drive.

Art Gallery 21, Inc. is a nonprofit organization working in partnership with Wilton Manors Leisure Services Department to bring more art experiences to the Island City. We are located at 600 NE 21 Court, Wilton Manors, FL 33305, next to the volleyball court at the northeast corner of Hagen Park, just east of Wilton Drive.

And, the winner is …

Saturday, September 30 is more than the last day of the month. It’s also the day we will announce the winners of the Sixth Annual Island City Juried Art Exhibition and present them with ribbons and cash awards!

the-mask-by-ray-arcePlease join us at 7 PM Saturday evening at Art Gallery 21 as we unveil this year’s spectacular showcase of work created by 30 of our finest local artists. Local African American artist and teacher George Gadson served as our jurist, selecting 45 wonderful examples among the entries we received to grace the walls of our little art gallery. The mediums are diverse; from oils, watercolors, acrylic and pastels to photography and mixed media. Large and small, we have it all. And, the majority of them are for sale!

We will celebrate with music by Cindy Curtis & Company, and refreshments provided by Nick & Shawn’s Courtyard Cafe. Come meet the artists. You’ll make new friends and you may run into old ones. After all, we’re your neighborhood art gallery. We mean it when we say we’d love to see you again or meet you for the first time!

The art walks have returned!

Tomorrow night, the event formerly known as the art walk will return to the Wilton Manors Art & Entertainment District. Now called Wilton Manors Art & Entertainment Expo, it will be held the third Saturday of the month, January through March this year.

Art Gallery 21 is pleased to be a part of the WMAE art walk and we hope to see you tomorrow night, January 21, 2017! If you haven’t seen the current exhibit, now’s your chance! Maybe you have friends or family visiting or are just looking for a fun evening out … if so, this is a really good alternative to the movies or bowling! Browse the local businesses showcasing individual artists as well as our galleries, then have a drink and a bite to eat. Our weather is fine this time of year, perfect for an art walk!

Artists interested in participating in the February art walk can find details and artist registration information at http://www.wmae.org/

Wilton Manors Art & Entertainment Expo is presented by WMEG and the City of Wilton Manors.

boat shows & art

The traffic was awful around Broward this week! It wasn’t until yesterday that we realized it stemmed from the arrival of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and the kazillion visitors it brings with it! Oh! My!

In fact, big events like the boat show are good for all of us! They bring visitors to our businesses, including the local art galleries in Wilton Manors! Because we’re “off the beaten path,” we’re inviting folks visiting Wilton Drive tonight to make that little turn onto NE 21 Court and walk one block east to find us. We offer a beautiful selection of original art by local artists at amazing (affordable) prices! While you’re there, you’ll meet Dirk Eberle, a local artist who has created delicate watercolor images that will just blow your mind! He’s a gentle soul with a remarkable gift!

If you’re in the market for art or an art experience or to simply check out the local art scene, we hope you will stop by and visit Art Gallery 21!  We’d love to see you again or meet you for the first time!
