Art Gallery 21 is blessed to have Celia Diaz as one of its founding members and resident artists! Originally from El Salvador where she was a physician, Celia has lived in Fort Lauderdale with her husband for more than twenty years. Should you meet her in person, don’t be deceived by her sweet and unassuming personality or her petite and fragile appearance. When you see her art, it won’t take two seconds to realize she is an artistic force to be reckoned with!

Celia loved art as a child and studied drawing in El Salvador. However, her studies to become a medical doctor and her career left little time for artistic endeavors. It wasn’t until she arrived in Florida that art became a truly important influence in her life. She attributes her development to the teachings of Robert Gross, but, Bob says she was, and continues to be, an exceptional student.

Whether working in oils or watercolors, Celia’s love of human anatomy is evident in her realistic portraits and self portraits, while her landscape and still life paintings portray the beauty in everyday life with delicacy and detail.

Art Gallery 21 is pleased to present a buyer’s market of fine Florida art at affordable prices. Because we are a neighborhood gallery, we can offer the work of local artists without the overhead of a for-profit gallery thanks to the support of the City of Wilton Manors. 15% of each sale goes to support the gallery, a Florida nonprofit organization.
