ABOUT THE ARTISTS …

SALLY COOPER has been painting throughout her life, beginning to actively explore her creative talents in the late 1980s. In 1990, she was honored with the Annual Art Award from Broward Community College. During the mid-1990s, Sally shifted away from detailed representational work and began embracing the abstract. By 2000, she had fully moved away from image reference, and her style blossomed into vibrant explosions of color, dynamic markings, and fluid movement. Her work has been showcased in numerous regional and national competitive exhibitions, receiving awards in many of them. Notably, Sally was awarded First Place in 2004 and 2017, Second Place in 2006, Third Place in 2017 in The Artist’s Magazine national competitions.

Sally is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, and her work has been featured in Acrylic Artist, Professional Artist, The Best of Acrylic, and The Artist’s Magazine. In 2017, her work was included in the publication Art Journey Abstract Painting. Additionally, her piece, Blue Horizon, was chosen for the cover of The Artist’s Magazine.  Check her out here.

JANET SCHWARTZ began her artistic journey in preschool when her mother enrolled her in classes at the Tampa Museum of Art. From that early exposure, a deep and lasting connection to the world of art was sparked. Though her life has taken her on various career paths, her love for art has never wavered, continually evolving and shaping her perspective. Over the years, she refined her craft through both formal training and personal exploration.

While her work draws heavily from nature, it’s often a blend of the organic and the abstract. Where Intricate, biomorphic forms and lyrical mark-making blur the line between the familiar and the unknown, creating spaces where fluidity and movement dominate. It’s through this fusion of shapes and colors that she seeks to transform the ordinary into something profound—something worth contemplating.

Throughout her career, she has been fortunate to receive international recognition and numerous prestigious awards for pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Yet beyond accolades, what truly drives her is the immersive experience her work offers. Each piece is a conversation, an invitation to explore new perspectives. This ongoing journey of self-expression and artistic growth fuels her passion for creating, and it’s a path she is committed to walking for as long as she can.  Check her out here.

EILEEN SHALOUM is a painter and mixed media artist who resides in Delray Beach, Florida, and Long Beach, New York. She taught art in the Long Island public schools from 1971-2006. Her career as an art educator has inspired her artistic vision. Upon retiring from teaching in 2006 she turned her primary focus to creating art. Eileen’s art has evolved over the course of her 40-year career, from painted wood sculptures to painting on stretched and unstretched canvas (wall hangings). Using mostly acrylic paint, she employs the use of drawing materials, collage papers, fabric, and found objects, anything that gives depth and texture to her process, layering inventive, imaginative and whimsical elements into abstract compositions.

Eileen has exhibited in galleries and museums, hotels, restaurants, stores, and libraries in group and solo shows during the past four decades. She has won many prestigious awards, and her work is in several private collections in the United States and England. She has membership in many arts organizations: National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) and the Florida chapter of NAWA, Florida Artists Group(FLAG), Palm Beach Water media Society, Arts United, Art League of Long Island, and Port Washington Artists Guild.
