Art Gallery 21 presents The 9th Annual Island City Juried Art Exhibition!

Thanks to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have chosen as our jurist this year the readers of The New Pelican. The artwork submitted for consideration will be hung in Art Gallery 21, then photographed and exhibited online at newpelican.com where The New Pelican readers will have the opportunity to vote for their three favorite works of art. The winners will be announced from the gallery Live on Facebook at approximately 7 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020. The gallery will offer a virtual tour through November 14 and will be open by appointment only to visitors willing to wear a face covering while practicing social distancing.

For those interested in submitting their artwork for consideration, the complete Rules and Entry Form are available for download here. Art intake is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 from 12 Noon to 3 PM. Entry fee is $20 per entry with a maximum of two entries per individual artist. Please be advised that acceptance into exhibit is not guaranteed and there are no entry fee refunds. We accept cash and checks payable to Art Gallery 21, Inc. (Please wear a face covering when bringing your art to Art Gallery 21 and practice social distancing while there.)

The three winners of this competition will be awarded cash prizes and their own exhibition in the gallery and online in December 2020. Visitors are encouraged to make an appointment for a real life visit to Art Gallery 21 throughout the 2020-2021 exhibit season. Pandemics don’t last, but art galleries do. We appreciate your support through this challenging time and look forward to when we can engage in social gatherings once more.
